My Honda civic LX 98 Auto broke down last week and I need to replace the computer system, what are my options?
rishabh50 asked:
The meineke guys say that I need to replace the computer system but it will cost me around $800 for a new one + labour. I called the salvage yard and they have asked me to come and match the numbers and take it. I have never been to a salvage yard so do not know what it means when they say I have to match the number and remove it myself. Do I have to take my own mechanic there? I'll appreciate any help.

Try going online and signing up to a Honda Civic forum where Honda Civic enthusiasts give each other tips on fixing their cars. One of the members may have a working spare computer for your car that they can sell to you for cheap. Or it may not even be the computer that's the problem. I wonder how someone at Meineke could diagnose a problem with your car's computer…
